How to Make Clip on Earrings From Pierced Earrings

Post-Back Earrings

  Choose a converter for post-back earrings. CDU-286A  These converters look like an average clip on, but there is a tube in the back.

  Remove the back from the earring post.

• 3

  Slide the post into the tube on the back of the converter starting from the bottom.

  
  

  
  

  Hoop Earrings

    Use a clip-on hoop earring or hoop converter that is small enough to fit the charm from your dangle pierced earrings.  CDU-286A

  • 2

    If the pierced earring charm slides off, remove it.

  • 3

    Slide the charm onto the clip on hoop.

  • 4

    If the pierced earring charm does not slide off, use the wire snips to cut the pierced back off the earring.

  • 5

    Slide the remaining loop onto the hoop earrings or attach a jump ring, then slide it onto the hoop clip on.
